Welcome Copy
Each week we will embark on a new journey (aka module), except Module 4 which needs two weeks fo' sho'! For each module there will be a few things for you to do like watch the videos, do your weekly assignment(s) and join me for the Live Lesson (or watch it after it's done if you can't make it live). The Live Lesson day and time will be announced at the beginning of the module.
You will gain access to the week's module and course sheets a day before we start that module together.
Some of the assignments to complete each week will be theory based (fill in worksheets, think about stuff, talk to someone) and some will be action based (take product photos, add items to your shop, write your About page (blargh - but less blargh with the way we'll do it)).
It is super important that you try to keep up with the group. If you fall behind, work your buns off to catch back up. This course goes over 8 weeks but you have access to all the course videos and information for as long as you need.
Let's do this!
To Do #1

To Do #2

Here's our schedule
Module 1: The Basis of Your Business
(January 15 - 21)
In this module, combine your skills, talent, passion and interests with the business side of things to determine just what you should be selling. You'll establish a shortlist of items and item ideas and a full list of goals for the first 6 months of your business.
Module 2: Your Business Plan
(January 22 - 28)
In one week you will develop a business plan that establishes the look and feel of your brand with customer experience and response as the focus. Forget creating a business for yourself, you're creating it for the customer - they're the whole reason why you're able to have a business. Remember that if you don't have sales, it's still just a hobby.
Weekly Live Lesson Topics: Contracts and Dealing with Clients
Module 3: The Backend of Your Business
(January 29 - February 4)
From Day 1 you've wanted to create your name and logo, but it's only now, after those first two modules, that you can create one that will serve your business and your customers well. This week, you'll get to create your name, tag line, logo and get a first look at some important financial info.
Module 4: Your Shop
(February 5 - 18)
Get ready for this Module! We will make decisions about all things shop related! Taking you through photography and editing bootcamp, showing you tricks to get stuff up on your shop without wasting time, pricing all of your items and writing item descriptions that will get your customer excited to purchase. There's a reason Module 4 is 2 weeks long! We're not scrimping on getting your shop to look amazing!
Weekly Live Lesson Topics: Reaching Out and Copyright
Module 5: Getting your customers' attention
(February 19 - 25)
Social media and email lists are some of the best ways to get sales. But there's a right way to do it and a very wrong way. This week we will develop a plan for your marketing, equip you with so many ideas for how to take these post basics and make you excited to reach out to your customers.
Module 6: The Others
(February 26 - March 4)
Things you might not know about like legal stuff to look into for your business, how to make money off telling people what pen you're using and what the life of a small business owner really looks like. Leaving no stone unturned here folks!
Weekly Live Lesson Topics: Social Media Strategies and Best Email Practices
Module 7: Your Website
(March 5 - 11)
Forget using a website that has built in competition (I'm looking at you Etsy). You need your own website. Let's take away the stress of creating a website from scratch by planning out just the pages you need while focusing on your Call to Action and customer experience. Make your website a treasure hunt map that they can follow right to a purchase.
The Wrap Up
(March 12 - 18)
It's time to launch your business!
