Bullet journaling doesn't have to mean emptying your wallet for a whole load of new supplies. With a notebook, a pen and a few markers, you can create your own functional and beautiful organizational system.

(And if you haven't started bullet journaling, you need to!! Let me put it this way... after many, many dollars wasted on planners that I never consistently used for longer than 3 months, I've been attached at the hip to my bullet journal for over two years now! It's a game-changer!)

NOTEBOOKS

There are many notebooks available. Choose one that has paper that is at least 120gsm, enough pages to last you half a year and comes with a dot grid on the pages. Here are some of my favorite options:

BEST OVERALL

Essentials Journal - With a budget price point, 120gsm paper and ivory pages, this journal is my go to!

WITH A COLORED COVER

Jumping Fox Journal - This is slightly more expensive but it has the option of a colored cover.

SPECIALTY JOURNAL

Archer and Olive Journals - These have the thickest pages of all and many different covers to choose from.

PENS, MARKERS AND MORE

BLACKEST BLACK

These Zebra Pens - With rich black ink, juicy flow and unbelievably fast drying ink (no more smudges even for lefties!!), this is hands down the best writing pen.

SMALL SCALE BRUSH PEN

Tombow Fude Brush Pen - The firm black nib gives you great control even when writing in the smaller scale necessary in a bullet journal.

MARKERS

Choose markers that have a variety of colors with different shades and tones. Tombow Dual Brush Markers or Crayola Super Tip Markers are both great options!
